Half-dwarf. Half-man. Warden of Krakenlore.

Thane Draghi commands war dragons — and an ancient prophecy may place him on the Lonely Throne.

Thane Draghi, Warden of Krakenlore

A warrior caught between blood and prophecy

In the storm-lashed north of Krakenlore, Thane Draghi stands between two worlds. Half dwarf and half man, he is a warrior shaped by divided blood, hard country and a duty that has never allowed him the luxury of being ordinary.

His strength makes him formidable. What makes him dangerous to the political order is what others believe he may become. An ancient decree of the Dragon Lords links Draghi's fate to the Lonely Throne, placing a man from the edge of the Empire inside a struggle for its very centre.

In the Six Realms, prophecy is never a harmless prediction. Once rulers, Houses and rivals begin acting on it, prophecy becomes politics.

The dragons are not simply his weapons

Draghi commands war dragons, but the Draken are not horses with wings. They are intelligent powers with histories, loyalties and purposes of their own. As dragons return to a world that has lived without them for centuries, their presence begins to change the balance between realms.

That makes Draghi's connection to them more than a battlefield advantage. It places him at the point where human ambition, ancient memory and returning power begin to collide.

One man inside a much larger war

The Saga of the Six Realms begins with the murder of Emperor Constantine and the struggle that follows for power, succession and survival. Draghi is one of the major lives caught in that widening crisis, but his is not the only story.

Across six realms, rival Houses manoeuvre, forbidden relationships alter loyalties, old races stir and forces humanity barely remembers begin returning. What first appears to be a fight over an empty throne gradually becomes something far larger.

The wider world of the Six Realms

Draghi is one doorway into the Saga. The full story reaches far beyond Krakenlore.

Saga of the Six Realms is eight books telling one continuous story. It begins with Emperor of Mu and reaches its conclusion in The Last Chime on 21 September 2026.

Thane Draghi's story begins in Emperor of Mu.
